New Year’s Resolution

This is a quick list of recipes and low calorie vegetarian foods that help me stay healthy. I lost 40 pounds in 2008 and it is a constant struggle to maintain my current ideal weight. The holidays were especially rough and I have chosen to rededicated myself as this year’s resolution. Here are a few tips and tricks that I would like to share and will probably refer to myself as 2010 continues. My New Year’s Day started off at IHOP (Garden Stuffed Crepes – 600 calories) so I have a long road ahead of me. With some hard work and diligent calorie counting I may be ready for the pig out fest that is going to be our Superbowl party this February!

1. Taco Salad

6. Sushi
7. Thai Pho
5. Asian Noodle Broth
6. Miso Soup
6. Green Curry Tofu
7. Kimchi
8. Korean Ramen
9. Winter Squash
10. Garden Salad
11. Herbal Tea
12. Yogurt
13. Select Campbell’s
14. Eggplant Parmesan
15. Zucchini Cakes
17. Egg White Omlet

All of these tasty delights have proven to work well for me when prepared properly. I.e.; very little oil, fat free or low fat dairy products, label reading, etc. The secret is to actual enjoy what you eat while being conscience of your calorie intake. Blending in a regular exercise routine is also key.
